Let us begin:
1. June 3-11 Novena to the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Friday June 12
Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
***The United States of America is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by the U.S. Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on June 11.
Our Novena prayer will be:"Prayer of Consecration of the USA to the Sacred Heart":
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: You know the longings of our hearts, and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you. From your pierced side, you have poured out the wellspring of life, for which we thirst. Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right relationship with you.
We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation, founded on the self-evident truths that our Creator has endowed all people with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We make reparation for the offenses against you and against human dignity that have taken place in this nation.
May our hearts be united to yours, so that our families and communities enjoy peace and happiness; may broken relationships be reconciled, injustices repaired, and the wounds of our land be healed. May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign, pointing all people to your infinite love.
O Desire of Nations and Center of History, we ask you to bless these United States of America. Who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us! Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

3. June 6 - 12 We Read an Meditate on the 7 sorrows of Mary. One for each Day leading to the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on June 13 Saturday
The Seven Sorrows of Mary The Seven Sorrows of Mary are significant moments of suffering she endured, especially related to the life, passion, and death of Jesus. These sorrows reflect the deep pain Mary experienced as a mother, making her a compassionate figure for those who suffer. The Seven Sorrows include:
- The Prophecy of Simeon
When Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the Temple, Simeon prophesied that Jesus would face opposition and that a sword would pierce Mary’s soul (Luke 2:25-35). This prophecy foreshadowed the suffering both Jesus and Mary would endure.
- The Flight into Egypt
To escape King Herod’s massacre of infants, Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt with the child Jesus (Matthew 2:13-15). This sorrow reflects the fear and hardship of becoming refugees, a reality for many people today.
- The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple
When Jesus was twelve years old, He stayed behind in Jerusalem without Mary and Joseph’s knowledge. They searched for Him in distress for three days before finding Him in the Temple (Luke 2:41-50). This sorrow highlights the anxiety and fear of losing a loved one.
- Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary
As Jesus carried His cross to Calvary, He met His mother along the way. The sight of her suffering Son caused Mary deep sorrow (Luke 23:27-31). This encounter emphasizes the shared suffering between mother and son.
- The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus
Mary stood at the foot of the cross as Jesus was crucified, watching her Son die (John 19:25-30). This sorrow represents the peak of her suffering, witnessing Jesus’ sacrifice.
- The Body of Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross
After Jesus died, His body was taken down from the cross and placed in Mary’s arms (John 19:31-37). This sorrow is often depicted in the Pietà, symbolizing Mary’s grief as she held her dead Son.
- The Burial of Jesus
Mary watched as Jesus was buried in the tomb (Luke 23:50-56). This final sorrow captures the deep sense of loss and the silence that follows death.

5. June 20-28; Next let us pray a Novena to the Feast Day of STS Peter and Paul June 29.
Prayer to STS Peter and Paul,
Oh, Lord our God, Saints Peter and Paul steered the early Church by Your Power and were leaders who modelled and strengthened the faith of the Church. Therefore I ask Saints Peter and Paul to pray for my faith to grow stronger and stronger every day.
In his second letter to St Timothy, St Paul reminded him to stir into flame the gift of God that he had.
I plead with Saints Peter and Paul to pray for me to become mature spiritually. Wherever I become an infant in my relationship with You, weak and uncertain, help me, O Lord, to increase in faith and trust.
Dear Lord, Enkindle Your fire that flickers inside me and let it become a big flame that brightens other people’s lives. Saints Peter and Paul, pray for me. Amen.
6. Wednesday June 24 Feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist:
O God, You raised up St. John the Baptist to prepare a perfect people for Christ. Fill Your people with the joy of possessing His grace, and direct the minds of all the faithful in the way of peace and salvation.
Grant that as St. John was martyred for truth and justice, so we may energetically profess our Faith in You, and lead others to the Way, the Truth, and Eternal Life. Amen.
7. June 30 Feast of the First Martyrs of the Holy Roman Church
Our Father..., Hail Mary..., and Glory be... Amen
